New on Greekchat.. looking for Zeta rec?

Hello!
I am a recent high school graduate from California in need of a letter of recommendation for Zeta Tau Alpha.
If there are any Zeta Alums that would be willing to help I have a rush packet ready to go for Zeta!! Please and thank you!!!

There aren't many Zeta or other alums who would agree to send a rec for someone they don't know. Your best bet is to talk to all the Greeks you know and see who might know a nearby Zeta.

Providing recommendations is not what we are about on Greek Chat. Follow Carnation's advice and look harder for someone that knows you personally, or your family. Good luck!

You might look to see if there is a ZTA alumnae chapter in or near your town. Ask your former teachers, neighbors, friends' parents, friends and co-workers of your parents.

Welcome to GC. Echoing what others have said. Work your contacts, and let everyone (even the men --lots of them are married to and fathers of Greek women) know that you are going thru recruitment and in need of recs. Someone, somewhere in your life, knows someone who knows a Zeta who is willing to talk to you and hopefully write a rec. Six Degrees of Greek.

Contact your local area alumnae Panhellenic association (there's a thread on GC with websites). They MAY have Zeta alumnae from your area/city that could help.

Another thought. Someone once suggested (honeychile?) putting a notice in your church bulletin. "blah blah is going through recruitment at blah blah U this coming fall and would love to speak with sorority alumnae from the following chapters" or something along those lines. I'm not flowery - so someone else may have better wording.

Cast a VERY WIDE NET and you'll catch a Zeta! Good luck to you, hope you find a sorority home.
