Pleaseeeeee Help

I need help! I am currently an initiated member at my college. I am considering transferring to another school and the school I want to transfer to doesn't have a chapter there. Since I know the rules say I cannot join another sorority is there any way to get around that will allow me to continue to be in a sorority?

No.

You ARE in a sorority.

You will still be in your sorority. You'll just be an alum instead of a collegian.

You can join a professional fraternity related to your major or a service fraternity such as Alpha Phi Omega (if your new campus has one), but you may not ever join another NPC chapter. There are no extenuating circumstances. We are not being harsh, those are just the rules.

There are also some schools that offer a chapter for Greeks who have transferred and whose chapter is not represented at their new school. This way they can still participate in campus-wide Greek activities such as homecoming and Greek Week. Perhaps if there is enough interest at your new school you could contact your Director of Greek Life about this option: http://boisestate.orgsync.com/org/chigamma/home

I think this is a great idea...I hope that it catches on! I've thought about this before and I'm glad some schools are doing it.

That's brilliant.
