Join the District of Columbia Alumni Association of Alpha Phi Omega for a SOCIAL JUSTICE BOOK SWAP on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 9am to Noon at The Greater Tried Stone Baptist Church, 1363 Otis Place NW, Washington, DC. Bring a book, take a book! Surplus books will be donated to local nonprofit organizations. Please contact us (PMs) if you would like to donate books but will not be available on the day of the swap!

We got awesome donations from our Amazon wish list this weekend! First from Mu Alpha Alumna Mary Beth Sullivan, we got The New Jim Crow, the Autobiography of Malcolm X, Are Women Human?, The Selected Writings and Speeches of Marcus Garvey, and Behind the Beautiful Forevers! THEN, from friend to DCAA Will Saunders, we received multiple copies of the the Marcus Garvey Book PLUS multiple copies of The Souls of Black Folk by W.E.B. DuBois AND an additional copy of The New Jim Crow! We are so thankful for these donations and can’t wait to give them to our beneficiaries!
