I'll say it once again....sororities really need to stop using this "member experience" buzz-phrasing. It's patronizing and infuriating.

Math girl is confused.... IP's thread says that total is around 70. The article says 6 members were dismissed and also stated "half the members were dismissed". 70/2≠6. Not even close.
|
Just reading between the lines, I'd guess 6 members were terminated, and those 6 disgruntled women burned their sorority paraphernalia rather than turn those things in.
|
That's my alma mater, I still have connections up there and what I heard was that it was the chapter leaders that were dismissed, not half the chapter, for violation of a national policy or policies. The girls then burned their letters in protest of the dismissal.

And quoting Thetalady : You can just envision the tight little mouth when that line is being stated.... _________________________________________________ Ahem. In this case the person said, “the premier member experience.” Not just any ol’ membership experience, mind you. Premier. Give it some time. Shouldn't be too long before a replacement "buzz-phrase" takes Greek life by storm. |
