Hector is dead
 

My spunky, ugly but cute fish died :( I'm so dissapointed! We got him just a little over a week ago. Poor fish...he was so fun to watch.

Good-bye Hector... I hope fishy heaven is nice.

Sorry to butt into your forum, but I'm so sorry to hear that Hootie!!

About a week ago, one of my Bettas died too! I had a total of 3 bettas-- all with different personalities. The one with least amount of "social skills" died. lol. He always swam away when people came near his bowl :(

Where did you buy him?? I week is too short of a time to buy a fish and it dying on you the following week!

Will and I bought him at PetSmart. I'm not exactly sure what caused him to die but I might have played a small part in it...
He was seen laying at the bottom of our tank for most of the night. The next day he was floating slowly (if at all) sideways or upside down. So I was on the phone and noticed he was stuck in the filter pipe...it suctioned him to it.
Anyways, I freed him and transfered him to a seperate container where he died almost instantly (I probably provoked shock).

I know PetSmart has a 14 day policy on their fish, but Will threw the reciept away and I already flushed him :( So I bought two new fish...
