"my tutu was dragging me down” -- Radford Sigma Kappa

Crashing (please pardon) to share this bit of fun:

A polar plunge event included some Radford students, including a Sigma Kappa member who said,
“The hardest part was getting out,” Hartman said. “It felt like my legs were paralyzed, and my tutu was dragging me down.”

Yes, there are plenty of pictures in a photo gallery. Yes, one of them shows the tutu-clad Sigma Kappa. Others show community members, guys from at least three different fraternities, and a lil' wet kid who was costumed as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

I did one of these when I was in college (jumped into Lake Erie in early March to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's) and what Hartman says is true - the hardest part is getting out. You Just run, jump in, and don't think about it. But when I got out, I only took a few steps from the edge of the water before I collapsed on the sand. My legs felt so heavy and useless and basically just stopped working.

It was awesome! :)
