Booth or table?

I was watching Seinfeld the other night and George was having lunch with his parents. Anyway, his mom starts to get cold because of the restaurant door opening and closing and suggests moving to a table away from the door. Then, George's dad starts having a fit because he says he didnt come all the way over there to sit at a table!

Anyway, everytime i go to a restaurant i ask for a booth over a table if available.

I think sitting at a booth is more personal and it doesnt make you feel like you are sitting in the middle of everyone else. I dont know, i just like them better.

So how about the rest of you, do you prefer a table or a booth?

I do not like booths. They are not comfortable. In some, you just sink down into the booth and your face is right at the table. I can never get comfy in a booth. I prefer tables, because I can always move my chair around until I find the perfect, comfy spot! ;)

Booth!

I'm definitely a booth-person. I hate sitting at a table in the middle of a room with everyone walking by. I feel like a goldfish in a bowl, being watched 24/7.

booth, unless the chair at the table is big and comfortable

I'm claustrophobic...

...so it has to be a table for me. I can't stand to be stuck in a booth, esp. if it is the inside of a booth. I'm weird.:p

Booth for me!

I ALWAYS ask for a booth. I can't stand sitting at tables...I feel so exposed!

I know...I'm a little..."different" hahaha!!!:D

Booth! Sometimes I enjoy stretching my legs and putting my feet up on the opposite side. ;)

I like to sit at a booth. More roomier and much more comfortable.

hehe, that just reminded me of that one episode of friends where monica tells richard all of her "things" and then thinks he thinks she is weird because he doesnt have any "things" until he tells her he has to sleep on the west side of the bed because he was born in california and otherwise everything would be flipped around! By "things" i mean weird things like ADPisweety having to sit on the inside! hehe just kidding, i dont think its weird!

I like sitting on the inside too!:)

I would prefer a table, I just need to sit at the table, I couldn't even explain why I would need a table. I like the booth but the I can't stand to be stuck between two people or just even one more, the whole process of making someone move when you trying to get up or whatever, is kinda annoying

booth

I'm okay with either, but I usually prefer a booth. Tables usually make me feel like I'm in the way or something.

At one of my favorite pubs they have 4 booths with these high backs on them, so it doesn't seem so noisy & you can actually hear the people across from you without yelling. I love those things.

My preference might also be a throwback to my years as a waitress, because most people prefer booths, so those were always full (meaning more customers, more tips).
