Pin/Badge Light

New member here looking for insight on where a chapter can get their badge/pin in a light for the chapter house.

You need to have one built on your own or no company makes the commercially.

I had a Brother from another chapter make two, I got from him on ebay and now hangs proudly on my chapter house. They are not cheap I paid @ 400.00 for it.

Good luck, they do look great on houses!!

My only question would Greeks allow these Badges be made with out approval from IHQ's?

We had one at our chapter. I don't think there were any stipulations about IO, but I wasn't there when it was made.

You can get these sort of things from licensed vendors. Badge designs legally belong to their respective fraternities, so the ethical thing would be to go through a licensed vendor and try to get one made.

There's also the potential to etch the glass yourself. If no one other than the fraternity is profiting from using the fraternity's trademark (i.e. an unlicensed vendor), and it would be used by a member in a manner in accordance with the organization's rules on displaying the trademark, I don't see how there could be a problem.

Agree, but these type of items are specially made and not by normal Badge Comps.

I Love to see big Badges on chapters and if had the money would love to start a company to make them, but alas, no money!:( Would have to have jigs, plans for many Badges.

All but two chapters on my campus have lite Badges. They really look neat!:D

I wonder if this is a regional thing. I can't think of any houses anywhere around here that have lit badges on them.
