colonization at my college, question
i am a sophomore at my college & i heave heard that a new sorority is being colonized in fall 2015. on that particular sorority's national page, there is a "news" article saying that colonization will take place! however, i have not seen any confirmation from my college's panhellenic website. should i talk to the panhellenic council at my college to show interest? what other tips & advice can you provide? i will be a junior during the colonization period, but i know i will not get into a house if i go through formal recruitment. so this is kinda my last chance to go greek. i have not been through any sort of recruitment before, so i am super new to this whole process. im hoping as a junior i would be able to have a leadership position in the colony & i am looking forward to getting involved.

colonization question
You should call the Greek Life office on your campus for information. At some point closer to colonization, PR info will be out on the campus telling you how to sign up for the interview process, the dates, etc.

You don't "know" that you won't get into a chapter if you go through formal rush. Especially if your school has an upperclass quota.
If you had an interest in Greek life, why haven't you rushed previously? Please be aware that colonies (especially at schools with large and popular Greek systems) are not easier to get into than established chapters. |
