“State police . . . said a University of Maryland fraternity held a party at a villa at a Poconos resort last month, causing extensive damage and leaving without offering to pay.

“Members of the Delta Chi fraternity threw a party Dec. 6 . . . . During the night, about 75 to 80 people were in the rented villa drinking large quantities of alcohol . . . .

“Police said ‘extreme damage was done to the interior of the villa’ during the party. “
