For those who know ...

1. How many full-time, professional staff does the headquarters of your [social] fraternity/sorority employ?
2. How many active chapters do you have?

Sigma Phi Epsilon:

Alpha Phi Alpha

1. Less than 15, not entirely sure though.
2. 686 chapters (last available figures)

Holy s$#@ - I didn't even realize there were that many colleges!

Theta Phi Alpha (pulling information off our website)

1.) 6
2.) 57

About half are at colleges. NPHC organizations have extensive alumni chapters. For us, there is little administrative difference between a college chapter and alumni chapter.

Alpha Delta Phi has 35 chapters and affiliates and 3.5 FTE staff. We are contemplating hiring an additional FT

Keep in mind that many groups have more than just the one org at their HQ. FOr Delta Gamma, we have the Fraternity, the Delta Gamma Foundation, Delta Gamma Fraternity Housing Corporation and Delta Gamma Fraternity Management Corporation (last two being housing related entities) all housed at the same location. We have 144 chapters and probably about 60 employees with all the entities...

In 2010, there were 2870 four year degree granting colleges/universities.
