University of Georgia Expansion!
UGA Panhellenic Council posted on FB yesterday:
The UGA Panhellenic Council is thrilled to announce that Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority will be joining our community in Fall 2015! We are also excited that two organizations have been invited to present for extension: Alpha Phi and Alpha Xi Delta will be coming to campus in February to share why they are the best fit for UGA. We will select one of these fine groups to join our community in Fall 2017! |
If they're starting a chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon and waiting until Fall for official recruitment, will they add any girls before then so that they can recruit when fall semester rolls around?
No. They have a full fledged colonization after formal recruitment. They will participate with the others in 2016.
To be clear, the colony has been announced, and they are working like crazy people at headquarters to get ready, but the actual colonization doesn't start until after rush next fall. Yes it probably feels like forever from now but there is a LOT of work that goes into a successful colony.
Oh okay. I was curious how they participate in recruitment with the other sororities if they don't already have girls, but now I understand. Thanks.

It will be great to have Delta Phi Epsilon back! And with their long history at UGA, they should have strong support in the area. Great news!
And it's Alpha Phi! They just announced on FB.
Congratulations Alpha Phi! I am beyond impressed by what Alpha Phi has accomplished within the last ten years or so. Their growth is outstanding, and it's well deserved!
I'm from the Midwest, and Alpha Phi is considered one of the premier groups to be a member of. Every Alpha Phi I meet is always beautiful (inside and out), accomplished and classy. I think the rest of us need to watch out! :) |
