phi kappa tau
 

This is my first time posting and i wanted to know what everybody thought of phi kappa tau on your campuses?

At the University of Illinois, Phi Taus were suspended for two years due to an unfortunate incident involving a couple of their pledges. They can apply for reinstatement in early 2002. Before this happened, I think they were an okay house. I didn't know any of the members though. They were pretty good at sports and intramurals.

From my experience, Phi Tau were officially classified as a gang by the local police department because they get into fight every weekend. They fought every fraternities, the football team, hockey, rugby and even other fraternities and athletic teams from other school. I'm surprised that the haven't been kicked out yet.

There was no Phi Kappa Tau on my campus, so I can't really comment from experience. That being said, it isn't important what OTHER PEOPLE think...it is important what YOU THINK. For example, I am sure that if you went to National Convention for Phi Kappa Tau, you would meet brothers that you thought were great, and others that you did not care for. So, what you think is what's important, not everyone else. Also, with multiple chapters, everyone's experience will be different. Some Phi Kappa Tau's might be the "get into fights every weekend" type, while others might walk little old ladies across the street.

Hello, I dont know if you are still here but I am a new associate member of phi kappa tau, who will be initiated in Sep. we are a colony now, and soon will get our charter. I just wanted to say hi and I hope we can keep the communication lines open. I am from Long Beach, the beta psi colony. Hoo Rah!!
