Homecoming Unity

Last week a SUV ran a red light and t-boned a truck resulting in the death of a young lady that was not affiliated and sending four others to hospital (two have been released). One young man is a member of ATO and is in a medically induced coma.

Homecoming is usually a time when there is friendly competition with the best float or best decorated door. However, this year the president of Lambda Chi suggested that instead of spending money on building a float that will just be thrown away after the parade that the Greek community donate the money to the family of the young lady killed and to the family of the ATO member. One float will be built to represent the Greek community.

I was so happy to see the community coming together to help out in during a hard time for so many people.

What university??

Sounds like a great Greek community with some mature leaders.

How gracious of them to think of others instead of focusing on what temporary accolades they could have received by winning a float award. Kudos to them.
