Why?
 

Hey sista's.
I just don't know why anyone would want to buy a Chi Omega pin that is not a fellow chi-o themself. It disturbes me that people, especially males would buy our badge. What would be the point to have them?

Yeah I'd agree with MissTaz! People don't care about the history or sentamental value behind the pins... they're just looking to make a quick buck or two.
What makes it worse is that our Nationals has no program in place to save badges off the internet, nor to reimburse those who do. So it's hard for us to just throw out money when we're not getting reimbursed.
And don't get me wrong...If I had the money I'd be bidding. But right now, like a lot of people, I'm strapped financially!

I did it once last year and got a thank you letter from Nationals for the donation. I sent it to our accountant... hopefully it can be used as a write off!

I don't know if the guy was just pulling my leg, but one time on Ebay I noticed the same person had purchased THREE Chi Omega badges and I emailed him because I was really curious why he had bid on them like that and he said he returns them to nationals. That was all that was in the email, no other explanation or commentary. So I just left it at that and hoped he was being honest. What more can a girl do *shrug*:p
