Kappa Key magazine re-vamp...Like it?
 

Yesterday I received my Fall issue of The Key, Kappa's magazine. This is the second issue since the magazine was re-vamped...new typeset, different layout, etc.

So Kappas, what do you all think of the new Key? I find myself missing the old Key! I always loved the pictures of alumni groups at various celebrations and gatherings, and I also enjoyed the pages of pictures of the collegiate Kappas involved in their various activities. I'm missing that very much!~

Maybe it will take some getting used to, but right now I'm feeling like I want the old Kappa Key magazine back.

Interested in some other KKG opinions.

I also liked seeing the pics of collegians and alumnae. Quite frankly, I don't know what that whole football stuff in the most recent one was about insofar as Kappa is concerned, but I just skimmed it. It's glossier, but I'm not thinking that it's better than what we had.

I know they're trying to encourage more members (younger ones especially) to read it cover to cover, but I don't know if I love some of the design choices they've made. They're almost too trendy and will most likely look dated in a few years. I wasn't jazzed about the football theme this issue, either, but I know coming up with content isn't always easy.

In short: I can understand and appreciate the design refresh, but am afraid it will appear dated in a few years. As long as the content doesn't trend towards Glamour/Cosmo style articles (which I am afraid could happen) then I can deal with the look.
