RIP Jan Hooks (SNL, Designing Women)

She was incredibly funny. Can you say "adobe"?

She did a great job on 3rd Rock from the Sun, as the ne'er-do-well daughter of the aliens land lady and love interest of Harry Solomon

Jan Hooks portrayed so many INCREDIBLY funny characters! Just thinking of the phrases I associate with Jan: "Do Not Taunt Happy Fun Ball", "Pedro and Inez", and "There's no basement in the Alamo!" send me into fits of giggling.

There was a special SNL segment with Phil Hartman and Jan Hooks called Love Is A Dream that SNL ran just after Phil died; hope they show it again on their next live broadcast.

That was the first thing I thought of. For those who don't know that scene, here it is.

And then there's this.

RIP.

They did and I cried.

In-depth feature on her later years. So sad.

Very sad indeed, she was so talented. I did love reading the kind words from her brother and how he cared for her in her final days. I hope she's found the peace she had been seeking out during her short life.

How did I miss this? So sorry to hear about Jan's passing.

My favorites were always the Sweeney Sisters skits. My sister and I would spoof those skits on occasion. "Clang-clang-clang went the trolley! Ding-ding-ding went the bell!" Hilarious!

Her burial place is minutes from us. I never knew her connection to Cedartown until she died.
