I am confused how/why people are selling AEPhi badges on ebay. I was initiated this spring (09) and in the avenues manuel we got for our new member period it says in it:
"During your years in college, neither the new member pin nor badge can be given away. After graduation, the badge may be given to the member's sister, daughter, or granddaughter." So isn't selling an AEPhi badge against that? :/ (I came across 3 different badges today on ebay and it made me very sad) |
First off, congratulations and welcome to AEPhi. :)
The AEPhi badges up for sale on eBay are often being sold by people who are not sisters. If an AEPhi dies without stipulating in her will what is to be done with her badge, her family might decide just to sell the pretty pin on eBay. Also, sometimes a stolen badge will turn up on eBay. It's sad, but it happens. |
I was on Ebay looking at badges and came upon this:
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...o/IMG_4429.jpg Can any sisters help me out and let me know if this is one of ours - and if it is worth picking up? As far as I know, we only have one badge and one pledge pin design. But this one does incorporate our lily of the valley. Thanks. LML. |
No, this looks like a lapel pin (not the badge) for Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. Their flower is also the lily of the valley
|
Ha, yes I know it's not our badge, but a lapel pin, you may be correct. I think I worded my question weird. Thanks for your help.
