21 Fraternities at IU take a stance against Sexual Assault

This is a very interesting and positive article regarding The men in fraternities at Indiana University that have responded with 21 statements pledging to work against sexual assault.

This is worth sharing with everyone.:)

Hooray for the 21 fraternities at my alma mater!

All the statements are great, but I thought Kappa Delta Rho's deserved special mention for its inclusiveness (is that a word?):

Quote:

The men of Kappa Delta Rho in no shape or form condone or tolerate any sort of sexual assault or violence against any person, women, men, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, or any other form of sexual preference. Should we discover that a member of our order commits sexual assault or a hate crime on the basis of sex, race, religion, creed or sexual orientation we will deal with them in manners including but not limited to expulsion from Kappa Delta Rho and reporting them to the University administration.

^ My thoughts exactly.

As an IU alum, I can tell you there almost 40 fraternities. While I appreciate that 21 fraternities addressed sexual assault, that's only about half of the fraternities there.

Perhaps some fraternities have been doing what needs to be done on their end rather than waiting to be summoned by Obama-Biden.

I'm not impressed by statements made per request or for a "movement".
