“Four-hundred and forty-four women received a bid Sunday, as some dropped out. Sunday also began formal fraternity recruitment for 259 men.” http://www.bgdailynews.com/wku/scene...9a6c56ed1.html I don’t intend this posting as criticism of Western Kentucky Greeks. It’s merely an example of what seems to me to be an ongoing trend for considerably more women than men to have an interest in rushing and affiliating/pledging. Is this actually a trend, or am I seeing something that isn’t there? |
There are more women than men in college, period. Also, that number is just the amount of guys who signed up for "formal" rush. I'm guessing there are guys who join who don't have any intention of going through all the rigamarole.
Oh and showing my age, but mass LOL at Charley Pride being the student activities director. |
