Two UGA Stories at Once
 

I love doing threads about multiple PNMs at once, because it's great to see how different women view the same chapters on the same campus. I always wait to make sure that the PNMs are happily holding their bids before I begin posting.

In 2010, it was three UGA PNMs with a Weeds theme.
In 2011, it was four UGA PNMs with a Muppets theme.
In 2012, it was two UGA PNMs with a Live Action Disney theme.
In 2013, it was seven UGA PNMs with a 90s Nickelodeon theme.

And now I am really running out of themes, so this year's theme is going to be...

I feel like The Wiz should be a historically black sorority. Dead Poets Society full of prep school WASPs.

I'm going for the holiday movies - White Christmas and The Family Stone!

And we'll add Die Hard in there since it could be considered a holiday movie too.

Oh I am all about the Jurassic Park! "Hold on to your butts!" perfectly describes recruitment, doesn't it?

Dead Poets Society, the one-and-only I've ever seen from that list.

I want to highly recommend everything else on it.

I'm going house by house and will differentiate my PNMs as A and B.

NOW AND THEN
A loved this house! Definitely a favorite.
B loved this house! Early favorite for her, too.

THE WIZ
A liked this house. She wants to return to get to know them better.
B wouldn't mind returning, but she didn't really feel like she got to know them well enough for them to be in her top 12.

TOY STORY
A enjoyed the conversations here, but it wouldn't be in her top 12.
B also enjoyed the conversations and wouldn't mind returning, but it wouldn't be in her top 12.

CAMP NOWHERE
A liked it a lot here and hopes to return.
B also liked this group a lot and hopes to return to get to know them better.

JAWBREAKER
A liked this group a lot and wants to return to get to know them better.
B LOVED this group and says it is definitely one of her early favorites!

ROUNDERS
A enjoyed her time here, but didn't feel that this group stood out as much as some of the others.
B also had a good time at this house, but did not enjoy this house as much as others.

WHITE CHRISTMAS
A really liked this group! It is an early favorite for her.
B LOVED this group! It is right up there with Jawbreaker for her.

THE NEGOTIATOR
A really liked this house and definitely wants to return.
B had some nice conversations here, but did not feel at home in the way that she did at other houses.

More on round one later... I hate to leave mid post, but I misjudged how much time I had to post. Stay tuned for the other round one thoughts!

DREAMGIRLS
A was a little overwhelmed by the energy here. She wasn't sure whether it was for her.
B liked this house a lot and enjoyed the conversations here a great deal.

FERNGULLY
A liked this house and hoped to return to get to know them better.
B loved this house! Definitely an early favorite.

DEAD POETS SOCIETY
A thought these girls were really sweet and fun. She definitely wants to get to know them better.
B thought these girls were really nice, but it wasn't a fit like many of the other houses.

FEAR OF A BLACK HAT
A didn't really feel like this chapter was a fit for her.
B liked this chapter and definitely wanted to return.

DIE HARD
A liked this chapter a lot! Early favorite, for sure.
B thought these girls were sweet and wanted to get to know them better.

SPELLBOUND
A loved this chapter! Definitely a favorite!
B definitely liked this chapter and wanted to get to know them better.

THE FAMILY STONE
A didn't really feel like this chapter was a fit for her.
B liked the conversations here and hoped to return to get to know them better.

YOU'RE NEXT
A liked these girls a lot and definitely wanted to return to get to know them better.

JURASSIC PARK
A loved this chapter! An early favorite up there with Now and Then, White Christmas, Spellbound, and Die Hard.
B loved this chapter! An early favorite up there with Now and Then, Jawbreaker, White Christmas, Ferngully, and You're Next.

At the end of round one, each girl had really enjoyed her time spent at each house. They each had a few favorites with some overlap (Jurassic Park, Now and Then, and White Christmas) and some differences. Both were excited and hopeful to attend their top houses for round two.

You are amazing! How you keep them all straight is beyond me!

Hurrah for The Negotiator! After seeing that movie years ago, it inspired a Kevin Spacey film festival where I finally saw Swimming With Sharks and The Usual Suspects. It's not one of his better-known roles but I've been a devout Kevin Spacey fan ever since. (And don't even get me started on "House of Cards"!)

I didn't know that! Such a great movie.
