What to bring to recruitment

What kind of things do you recommend bringing to recruitment?

notepad and pen - for notes in between parties
wear comfy shoes - some of the houses are a fair distance from each other (you can find a map in the FAQs of the UofT sororities website!)
a sweater or cardigan - recruitment goes until 8 at night some rounds, and it is cold by then!

I vaguely recall that we had a thread about this at one point... what to bring to formal recruitment or somesuch...

You will want comfy shoes to wear between parties, especially when you get to the dressier rounds and want to wear heels at the actual parties.

Tampons and Advil are a must. Aunt Flow always picks the most inopportune time to arrive. Either you will get your period - or someone in your rush group will get her period, and if you give her a tampon you will have a friend for life!

For fall recruitment, it'll probably be warm (if not outright hot) out, so bring some powder and some tissues so you don't walk into a party dripping with sweat.

Bring your lipstick for a quick touch-up between parties.

Place all of this in a bag. Depending on your campus, you may be required to leave the bag with your rho chi (or whatever they are called - every school seems to use a different term) while you are at parties. When you leave the party, reclaim your bag, put on your comfy shoes, touch up your lipstick, and off you go to your next party.

Thanks guy for the suggestions. My university Panhellenic association just posted a blog post on what to bring. You guys covered everything!

Also, bring some face blotters or coffee filters (same thing). They will take the sheen of "over excitement" or humidity off of your face, without smudging your makeup.

Comb or brush, small mirror, breath mints.

Most importantly, a great attitude, and a good handle on "meeting someone for the first time" type talk.
