Washington State House Mom and Sister
 

Please keep the Sigma Kappa ladies at Washington State in your thoughts and prayers. Last night, Cathy Palmer, a Sigma Kappa sister from the Mu chapter and house mother of approx. 20 years lost her 3rd battle with cancer. Ms. Palmer was an amazing woman, mentor and friend to all who had the wonderful opportunity to meet her. She was devoted to Sigma Kappa and was an excellent example of what being a Sigma Kappa means. She was a member at the University of Washington. The chapter has been preparing this past week for recruitment that I believe starts either tomorrow or Tuesday. Best of luck to them during this very sad time.

So sad. My thoughts are with them.

From what I have heard, Ms Palmer was beloved by those who knew her. Keeping both chapters in my thoughts.

My sympathy to all Sigma Kappas, especially those at Washington State.

What an honor it is to have called her my house mom. I know all my chapter sisters and are comforted by all the memories people have been sharing via facebook. She really had a way of making every single one of us feel special.

I am very proud of my chapter at WSU today, in a week dedicated to our wonderful sister and house mother, they took quota plus 4! =) 56 new Sigma Kappa ladies!!!
