there some things that it seems like only our folks do.

i was in the nail shop the other day and the girl next to me was getting a "french" tip on her fingernails and her 2 big toes...

only the french part of the tip was pieces of a dollar bill that was embedded in the acrylic! (so when she put her hands together it read "the united states of america" and whatever else is on a bill)

i was almost too through until a lady walked by and thought it was really tight - THEN i was done!

This was a "fad" out here about a year or so ago. You would actually have to give a dollar bill (or a higher denomination for those that were just simply fabulous :cool: ) to the nail tech. He or she would cut it up/shred it, and that would be used for your $$ money tip. Yes, ladies, I have seen all fingers and toes done too.

Now, the different color "french tips" are in where you might have say silver nails with black tips for example.

see i probably would have expected it from somewhere like the dirty south or on the east coast where some of the fashions and hair styles can be a little wicked awesome......

but in laid back sunny cali, it just threw me for a loop!
