I was reading the statistics on the NPC website, and now I have another great thing to say to people who are anti-Greek, "3.4 million women can't be wrong!" hehehe That's approx. how many women were in NPC sororities in 2000---just think what it must be now! WOW!

Hey don't forget women in the NPHC as well as women in multi-cultural, service, and professional sororities. I wonder how many more that adds to the total!!!

Great stat, but be careful with this one. I quoted that one to someone once (actually a professor I just wrote about in another thread) and she replied, "Yes they can. They were the Germans in WWII." I was like Daymn. I didnt have a comback.

Grrr...I tried to look up the number of ladies in NPHC, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. When I found the numbers for NPC, I had just happened to stumble across it when I wasn't even looking for that. It seems anything you type into a search engine about sororities and fraternities, most of the info that shows up is media articles portraying Greek Life badly. Anyway....that was pretty mean of your prof. to compare fraternities & sororities to Nazi Germany. That's very offensive! GRRRrrr! People are so judgemental!!!!!!

That woman has some problems if she compares NPC women in any way to the Nazis! (I assume that's what she meant when she said "Germans" because, of course, everyone knows that not all Germans were Nazis and I'm sure this college professor is far too intelligent to stereotype people!)

Great point, Kilarney...but remember, INTELLIGENCE doesn't always make up for IGNORANCE. ;)

Just to give the prof the benefit of the doubt ... the fact that a lot of people believe something doesn't make it right! Hopefully, that was her point, not that all Greeks are like Nazis.

After all, there are a lot more non-Greeks than Greeks out there. All those GDIs can't be wrong? Ha!

Okay, okay just forget the whole darn thing...I was just trying to find something concrete to explain how wonderful being a Greek can be, but I suppose nothing can express that except emotion. :D
