Recruits
 

Ok here's the deal. We have a recruitment fair comin up on Tuesday (Jan 29th). I can already tell, just by word of mouth, that a ton of people are interested in joining our organization.

Now here's the problem, we're on our way to petition for colony as soon as our recruitment period is over. I don't want to take 40 new guys that don't really care about our organization. I.E. the guys that are only down for the party's and girls. I'm tryin to make sure we let in guys that are gonna give 110% into the installation of a chapter at our university...guys that are gonna bust their ass to make sure this works.

Now my question to you all, how the hell can we weed out the unenthused & etc. asap so we can hurry & petition for colony? i know it takes months to really get to know someone, but i was thinkin more along the lines of a few weeks. any idea's on events we can have to find out a:) exactly what the new kid is like, and b:) whether or not he really wants to be a part of this?

Just invite them to hang out some where there will be no girls or beer and see how many stay. The guys that leave are the ones that just wanted beer and women.

You rush guys that you think will become Tekes and then it is during pledgeship when you can see who steps up and shows you what they have that will make them strong actives. A bad pledge is a bad active.
