I met her once when she spoke here. What a wonderful lady.

: ( As corny as it was, I loved The Brady Bunch.

With the various media reports listing her in her role as the Brady's housekeeper, she was more than a housekeeper: she was as much as a part of that iconic family, a friend to all of the Brady's, a 7th Brady if you will; and was part of millions of families' lives over generations of TV viewers.

R.I.P, Ms. Davis, you will be missed.

I remember her also from the old Bob Cummings Show, back in the golden age of television.

Before my mother's business focused solely on home health care, we had house cleaning as an option. If I had a nickel for every time someone asked for an "Alice," we could all have retired about 20 years ago.

Ann B. Davis' character was larger than life, and has stood the test of time. I think each of us wanted her, or her character, as a factor in our lives.
