USCB Tri Deltas Lost in Drive By Shooting
 

Tri Delta philanthropy week at UCSB ended in tragedy. Two sisters were lost as they were walking along a sidewalk in Isla Vista. A drive by shooter took the lives of two sisters in the chapter, Katie and Veronika. Messages of love and concern from Tri Delta chapters across the nation have been received at the chapter house. Tragedy at UCSB
 

The shooting which occurred on a busy street on Friday evening at Isla Vista by the UCSB campus ended in the deaths of seven and at least seven injured. Among the victims were three UCSB students. One student is in serious condition in the hospital.

A late report indicated three stabbings took place at the alleged killer's apartment complex before he went on the killing rampage. A video about the alleged killer's intentions has now been seen by thousands.

Memorial services for the victims are still being arranged.

Such a terrible tragedy. Those women and the man that also died were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Condolences to all of their friends and family.

Isla Vista has had a horrible spring; praying for comfort for the community, and for the Tri Delta chapter especially as they face the loss of two active sisters. There are no words, only compassion.

The national office of Delta Delta Delta reports another sister was injured in the shooting spree. She is being treated and there is hope for a recovery.

Counselors are with the chapter members at this time.

A candlelight vigil was held on Saturday night at UCSD to honor those who died during this terrible event.

Many heartfelt condolences to the women of Delta Delta Delta. I can't imagine going through such a tragedy.
