Strolling
I was wondering how does one learn to stroll, and better yet where could one go to teach his or her GLO how to stroll?

To what? I must be out of the loop or not know the lingo or something...to "stroll" to me means: to walk along or through at a leisurely pace..what's it mean to you?

I might have been able to about 50 years ago when that dance was popular. :p

I think he is referring to the BGLO tradition of strolling at parties. It is.. well if you haven't seen it I don't know that I can really describe it to you, not at it's best. It's line dancing, but cool. It's expression of all the love you have for your org on the dance floor..its..its... hella fun!
You basically have to come up with your own strolls. In BGLO's each org has their own signature moves that they do (AKA's have the mirror, Alpha's have the train) and incorporate into their strolls. Of course we all use our hand signs as well (pinkies up Sorors!). You have to come up with your own. If you have a hand sign, use it. If you are not a part of a BGLO, you might want to ask someone who is to help you out. Good luck! Man, I miss undergrad! |
I think it's weird how many names we have for this. I've heard strolling, training, strutting... we just usually say "take it around". Soror, I'm CTHU at you talking bout "line dancing, but cool." :D
