Tips for future Greeks

Hey! I'm still in high school but I'm hoping to become a future greek at USC. Any advice on critical do's and don't's that aren't usually mentioned and/or obvious? I'm the first in my family interested in sorority life :)

There are no "secrets" that we're only going to give to you. Do some searches on this site. Actually, go to Google and perform your search with 'greekchat.com' in the search bar to produce better results. There is plenty of good information to be found.

But the quick and dirty answer:
1) Get recs
2) Be yourself
3) Dress appropriately (do a search here or look to your school's Greek page for possible suggestions)
4) Practice good conversation skills
5) Have fun

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask! Good luck! :)

I would also add to this list: FOCUS ON GRADES. Yes, sororities care. We care very, very much.

Also, if you haven't done a lot of volunteer work, it might be a good idea to start doing some volunteering.

Meh. Nobody really cares about this stuff unless it helps you meet people and network.

Ah, yes. I just re-read the first post and the whole being in high school part. If you're a senior, then it's a little late for these things to be done prior to recruitment, but if you're younger, definitely focus on these as well.
