Pledge two frats?
 
I'm in a frat at a small school in upstate new york. we only have two chapters and aren't nationally recognized, but we are a social fraternity recognized by the school.next semester i'm transferring to FSU, would i be able to pledge a frat there?

I don't really know the answer, but I have additional questions if you feel like answering them.

What do you mean by not "nationally recognized?" Do you mean you are not a member of the NIC? Do you mean you are not incorporated? Do you mean something else?

Is there a reason you don't want to attempt to bring a chapter of your fraternity to FSU?

we are not a member of the NIC, we have one brother chapter and both of our two chapters are recognized by the school theyre at, but thats it.

and i didnt even think about starting a chapter, thats a good idea!

You could pledge a chapter at FSU.

Maybe. There is nothing at the NIC level to prevent you. However the individual fraternities might have requirements that you have never been in a similar type of organization.

There are lots of regional fraternities and sororities at the SUNY schools. They have a long tradition there but I don't think they would fly elsewhere.

To the OP - yes, you can pledge a fraternity at FSU. I would let your current brothers know you are doing so, just to be courteous.
