So, I was bored and curious. I went through the Colonies/Expansion threads back to 2006/2007 because that was as far back as I could find and found the schools we've presented at. The list is below, by state.

It still chaps me that we weren't selected for Knox College. They are not big enough to expect expansion any time soon so it will be a VERY long time before we can even be considered for getting back our Alpha.

Not sure that this fits, but Alpha Xi Delta submitted a packet at University of Arizona when the campus opened for expansion a few years ago (brain fog, not sure what year it was). And I'm more than upset about the whole situation with housing torpedoing the expansion.

ETA: Alpha Xi was the only chapter to formally submit; other chapters were interested but the insane real estate prices resulted in only Alpha Xi submitting and then they wisely withdrew.

Still mad.

AZTheta: That's interesting! I wish we had gotten to Arizona too, but yeah I can understand crazy costs, I'm sure that's the hold up at Alabama too.

In reference to Alabama, I can't really see why we were interested and presented in 2007 and now won't submit. I mean, I understand we have a lot of commitment for colonies but stillllllll

Don't think Bama is worth the recent drama. I don't think it has anything to do with the money.

And..... it was said before regarding Knox. Panhellenic spirit or not, do you really think those other panhellenic orgs are going to vote back an Alpha Chapter on campus? That's a bit intimidating. Can't say I blame them, if I were in their shoes.

well in both of the other 2 chapters, they are both their Beta chapters, so I don't think they're too intimidated by an Alpha. I think it was probably more about regional strength at the time of the expansion.

If Bama can turn down the drama, it wouldn't surprise me if we'd consider it again. But I wouldn't want any part of some old bitties making decisions on our behalf, especially where it applies to what race our members are allowed to be.

Part of the reason I want to be back at Bama is because I want to see the house that gets built ;)

Also, in regards to Knox, I'm not sure why we didn't pursue in 2010 when Alpha Sigma Alpha was brought on.

I want to crash to say that I am so glad you are returning to Oklahoma State! You were on campus when I pledged KD, but closed shortly thereafter, and for me, the greek community has not been complete since. You were our across the street neighbors. I hope Delta Zeta will also make their way back to Stillwater at some point. Wishing you all the best as you recolonize!
