University of Michigan Alpha Phi Killed In Accident While Abroad
 

I got this news from my friend in Chicago. My friend's daughter was good friends with the young lady who was killed :(

This is so sad. She is from my hometown, and my alma mater, and my facebook feed has been filled with touching tributes to her; she seems to have been a remarkable young woman. This is the second young graduate from my high school to be killed abroad in the last few years. Anne Smedinghoff, the young woman who was a Theta at Johns Hopkins and was killed in Afghanistan, graduated from our high school a few years before this young woman. Thoughts and prayers to this young woman's family and friends.

So sorry to hear this sad news. My sympathy and prayers to her family and to the sisters of Alpha Phi.

Thank you for this article. I see that the memorial service will be at the church I went to growing up. They are clearly expecting a large group, which is not surprising given everything I've read about this wonderful young woman.
