Serious problem
 

I have a real problem that I am affraid to ask anyone else. I was raised by a family of men that are all members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. I grew up wanting to be an Omega man. When I wen to college, I noticed the Kappas on campus were awesome, and I thought I wanted to be a Kappa. Upon more research I realized I did not want to be a Kappa. In this research I did realize I like Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I began studying all of their information, and I memorized it. I left that school because my grandmother became ill. I went to community college for two years where there was no greek life. I hung out with Alphas, and continued learning information. I enrolled in a university and began checking out greek life. I noticed there are only a few greeks on campus. In this past year the Alphas were trying to get a line started. I was with some of the guys that were trying to be Alphas. I was not chosen to be one of the ones to go through the process... During the past semester my grandfather had a stroke and I have been around him and my uncle (both ques) ALOT!!!!!!! They have given me tons of reasons of why I should be a Que. THey told me to do research, so I bought the diving nine book and read it cover to cover. I am really interested in Omega Psi Phi but I dont what it to seem like I am Hopping.... What should I do..!!!????

You are hopping. Stop being swayed by these conversations with your family. Take time to research (by reading things like books and national websites), attending chapter events, and meeting members.

NPHC fraternities take their membership very seriously and it is a lifetime membership. But the basic idea is for you to want them void of any begging or convincing on their part.

Lastly, regardless of the device you use if emailing these chapters, remember to proofread and edit for spelling and sentence structure.

Since you were close to the Alphas, did you ever learn why you were not chosen? If I were you, I would try to determine that before you pursue another organization. Whatever you have that makes the Alphas think you were not suitable or not ready needs to be rectified, as it could impact your next pursuit.

Take your time. There are alumni/graduate chapters. There is no rush.
