I just wanted to say "Thanks!" to all of the members of Alpha Xi Delta.

Today (April 2) is World Autism Day. Sisters from Alpha Xi Delta were on the Today show this morning and all day today have been out in their communities beating the drum for Autism Awareness and participating in Light It Up Blue events.

I have a kid who has an autism spectrum disorder. You don't know how much it means to have you advocate for this cause. It's been really lonely dealing with this disability and I think a lot of other families are really lonely, too. When I see you all out there talking about the cause and working to help with it, it makes it feel less lonely. It feels like there really is a community who supports our families and wants the best for our families. It's easy to forget that in the day-to-day grind of dealing with this.

Thank you. You made me smile today.

I did wear all blue today in support for Autism awareness.

Hi KDCat! Thank you for your kind words! I'm proud of all that Alpha Xi Deltas are doing to support Autism Speaks. Our chapters and alumnae associations across the country are holding fund-raisers, raising awareness through Light It Up Blue, and advocating for families affected by autism spectrum disorders. It’s great to see how this cause is so close to our sisters’ hearts!
