Teach for America- Help Me
 

Hello Sorors and Others,
I sent off my application for Teach for America, and I wanted to know if anyone here is/was in the program or is applying for the program.

I am interested in teaching in Atlanta, New Orleans, or Baltimore. Does anyone here have insights on either of the school districts or the life in the city? Any and all information is GREATLY appreciated. I live in Texas (org. from Houston), so if you have any comparison stories, please give me those tidbits.

I am relocatng as well this summer just not via Teach for America.

Some suggestions:
1. Check out each city via their Chamber of Commerce Website and Local Newspapers.

2. Check out the districts as well via websites.

I was looking today @ Charlotte Observer's Website and they have a Living Here for Newcomers and a New Comers Guide as well.

My Best to you as you begin your very fulfilling work as a teacher.
