The Amazing Race 24 - All Stars

The 24th season of the Amazing Race has started!

This all stars season features past favorites and even some teams who have competed twice before.

The teams are:

Margie & Luke , mother & son (season 14 & 18)
Flight Time & Big Easy, Harlem Globetrotters (season 15 & 18)
Jet & Cord, cowboy brothers (season 16 & 18)
Brendon & Rachel, married Big Brother contestants (season 20)
Leo & Jamal, brothers (season 23)
Caroline & Jennifer, country singers (season 22)
Dave & Connor, father & son (season 22)
Jessica & John, engaged (season 22)

I loved many of these teams on their season, especially the Globetrotters, Mallory & Mark, Caroline & Jennifer and Margie & Luke.
Least favorite are the twins. They were so negative on their season.

I'm cheering for Jet and Cord, but I really hope Dave and Connor do well. They were rocking it until they had to pull out during their season.

I will once again be pulling for the Globetrotters. I have cheered for them in both prior appearances as they are always among the most likable and least annoying cast members. Plus, Big Easy is funny, and that goes a long way in my book.

However, my support was forever sealed for them during a recent Globetrotter appearance in our town. Flight Time picked my 7 year old up from his seat, carried him out onto the floor and then helped him avoid the water bucket gag. He then gave him his (very sweaty) headband. He was super kind and encouraging to my son, and the whole way out onto the field kept whispering in his ear to ensure he wasn't too scared.

Big Easy wasn't on our tour this year, but we saw him last year. He's absolutely hilarious.

I hope this is the time that they win the million.

They were eliminated while still holding an Express Pass, besides that I didn't remember them either.

Hey, Margie and Luke are back! Guess I'll root for them.

I don't have time to watch this unfortunately, but I would love the cowboys to win it.

I just watched the first episode. I had forgotten how much I loved the Cowboys, so I will pull for them as well as the Globetrotters.

And I am beyond thrilled with the team that got eliminated. Thank goodness we don't have to listen to them for another race.

Aw, so sad this couple was eliminated!

OPhiAGinger 03-24-2014 04:11 PM

Was I imagining it, or did Luke come out to his mother on last week's episode? (I mean the one 8 days ago, not the one yesterday.) It was so quick and Margie's reaction was a non-reaction like "Yeah? So?" I wondered why he decided to do this on their third TAR appearance and whether he was disappointed that it was such a non-event in the version of the show that aired. Or maybe I misunderstood that little exchange between the two of them.

I think he has been out for a while now, they were just talking about it

I have to admit, they—particularly he—got on my nerves. I wasn't nearly as disappointed last night as I was last week when it was a non-elimination leg.

Enjoying Conner and his dad much more this season than last time. Dad hasn't cried once.

Yes, me too. Last time they really focused on the emotions and the injury, this time you get to see them race and have fun.

And based on their prior season, Brenchel was high on my list of irritants at the start of this season. Rachel just whined all the time! But this season, she's filled with so much positivity she even gives pep talks to the competing teams so they don't give up. What a turnaround!

She is better, but she still has her moments.
