Spesh
I was wondering when you pledge a particular sorority, is it okay to have a spesh that is not in the same organization that you are pledging? And can your spesh write you a letter of recommendation?
|
yes you can, in fact I was spec-ed by a member or Phi Beta Sigma. Keep in mind that things changes according to the campus you are in and the relationship between orgs.
I have only spec-ed one member of Kappa Alpha Psi and my own org. Hope I aswered your questions |
Thank you for your help

What is "spesh."

http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gifIts one of those terms Greeks use that are not shared by the non-greek community. Basically it only applies to those who are members of the Greek community. Don't be offended. If you are seeking membership in a BGLO, you will at the appropriate time learn the personal definition of "spec" from the particular organization you are seeking. Its meaning varies organization to organization.

Spec shouldn't be a "secret" word, like FATAL or GOMAB. And I know, what the former (FATAL) means and would NEVER DREAM of asking about the latter. I've already heard one girl, and I do mean girl, who asked PBS members that, and y'all KNOW what they said...
"Get Off My @$$, B****." I thought it was an uncalled-for response, but she was waaaay off-base. Obviously, I have not defined "spec," because 1) taint my bizniss 2) nope, still taint my bizniss. I just think you're getting a bit mystical with it. There is so much more to an organization than general terminology, but hey, who am I? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif ------------------ @~~^~~~~ Subtlety is the key ;o) [This message has been edited by Salience (edited May 02, 2000).] |
