Where can I find Vineyard Vines and Southern Proper?

I like their ties and bowties, going by what I see online.

I cannot find these brands in STL or even in Chicago. I assume it's because I'm in the Midwest.

Can these brands be found in Memphis? Where in Memphis?

I've ordered Vineyard Vines ties and shirts through their website.

Online is your best shot. Once you order once from Vineyard Vines, you'll start get the catalog.

Ditto, unless you can get to a Nordstrom, Saks or Bloomingdale's. :)

Online, Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales, and sometimes smaller 'preppy' stores. A quick google says VV has a store at 6150 Poplar Ave?

In Memphis, you can get Vineyard Vines at Oak Hall.

Vineyard Vines has a Chicago store at 540 Michigan Ave.

Which I found on their website...just saying.

I got some new items from both off of eBay. And I got one of my daughters a Phi Mu sweatshirt with VV print letters; I can't remember if that was from eBay or the Phi Mu Carnation Collection.

I thought it, you typed it!

People who like those brands around here also like Southern Tide.

Where can you find VV and SP? Anywhere overpriced clothing of moderate quality can be found.

Seriously, I was preppie before people knew to call it preppie—Shoot! I was preppie when Abercrombie & Fitch was preppie—but I just don't get the appeal of VV and SP at all. Yes, I'm on my way to being the crotchety old man.

If you're looking for good bow ties, try Beau Ties ltd. They're the best I've found anywhere.

MysticCat, you are just a few posts away from yelling at the kids to get off the lawn!

You have no idea. Can I blame it on my cold? :o

Seriously, when my daughter got me in a VV store, I was just a bit dumbfounded by the price-to-product ratio. Definitely a paying for the label thing, and I get that. To a point. But the older I get, the less inclined I am to pay for the privilege of being a walking advertisement for a clothing company.

I've tried looking in department stores like Nordstrom and in boutiques. No luck. The VV on Michigan Ave in Chicago has been closed for quite a while.

I don't want to order from online, for reasons I'd rather not go into. I guess the next time I travel south, I'll have to swing by the Memphis location. :)

Strange that it's been closed a while because they said their grand opening was on November 13, 2013. Just saying.

Here's their FB page with photos from the grand opening and a map.
