February is certainly starting out to suck giant balls.

Far too young. :( He was so talented.

My ex-husband is a doppleganger for PSH. I mean SERIOUS look alike. And an alcoholic, drug enthusiast. At least thankfully not a heroin user. So needless to say my worry about my ex-husband and his issues are right at the forefront today. Made worse is my family posting on FB things that sound an awful lot like a eulogy to my ex. Because we all assume his turn is coming soon. And I'm very sad today.

Wow is all I can say.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Drug abuse affects so many more people than the user. Unfortunately, they don't see that. A movie star made a lot of people sad today, people he never met and never would, but still his use affected them. I know that's not enough to overcome addiction, but it's something worth pausing over.

I don't think making it legal or illegal keeps anyone alive. I'm enough of a libertarian that I think you should be able to do whatever stupid stuff you want to yourself. It's only where your actions affect other people's lives that the law should intervene. Kill yourself with drugs? Whatevs. Rob a store to pay for it, not so much.
