Advice about sophomore rush

I'm a freshman at a medium sized southern school (not part of the SEC). Sororities are pretty big here, alot of girls are in one, however many people say that it's not make or break for your social life if you're not in one. Obviously rush week is stressful, but I don't think it's as cut throat as some of the big state schools.

Due to family reasons, I didn't rush as a freshman even though I wanted to and had every intention to. I'm going to rush in the spring of my sophomore year (we only have spring rush), so I'm just wondering what my chances are of getting a bid. I have pretty good grades, and since most of my good friends this year are rushing, hopefully I'll know girls in a wide array of sororities for next year. I know a good deal of sophomores rushing this year from my classes, and they say it's not a huge deal and they don't regret waiting, but that doesn't make the situation any less stressful or hard.

We can't tell you what your chances are, because we don't know. It's worth a shot.

My biggest thing with sophomores is that it's important to be open to all chapters, as there are some who may not been keen on taking upperclassmen.
