AFC Champs:

My wish superbowl would be Philadelphia vs. Baltimore in the N.O. But realistically I say Pittsburgh vs. STL.

Oh Yeah! I'll be sporting my EAGLES gear here in RAVEN country. You couldn't pry me from the screen!

I was hurt by the loss of my team-The 49ers; but I think this year's two championship teams will be easy to pick. I agree with my bruh Fatto-the Steelers and the Rams.

And EVERYBODY knows the champs where BLACK AND GOLD!!! :D

Then we are unanimous in our picks...RAMS vs. Steelers

Eastcoast Sunshine 01-22-2002 01:27 AM

My team was robbed:mad: .....The Oakland Raiders that is...but I think the Rams have it this year.

As a typical (rowdy and obnoxious) Steeler fan, I got to go with my home team. I also had great pleasure in seeing the ravens dreams crushed like rod woodson catching the stiff arm of plaxico burress. Being the sentimental type I would like to see a P.A. Bowl

That was the Worst travesty of justice that I've ever witnessed at an NFL Game. I was there!!! The official who overturned the call should never be allowed to ref a game again. Eventhough the rule states that if a quaterbacks arm is moving forward it is an incomplete pass, The REPLAY RULES also state that there must be INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE to overturn a call and there wasn't! The quaterback brought the ball back down and touched it with his left hand. That means he has reset the ball! I was never a person to believe in the CONSPIRACY THEORY of the NFL against the Raiders, but there just might be something to it. From the first replay when they spotted the ball wrong an a Tim Brown catch and tried to charge them a timeout. That whole game was BULLSH*T!!!!!! As far as I'm concerned the Raiders were robbed and The NFL OFFICIALS should be held accountable.

True you got robbed, although I didn't see the tim brown fiasco.
Still, they would have got smashed by the Steelers.

I agree. Then Mr. Stewart can "come home" and win his FIRST SuperBowl Ring as a starting quarterback. Plus, I like Jerome Bettis. :D

:D

We didn't get the Saints in the dome for the SB, but hopefully, we can get Cordell to represent.

Obvious?

I didn't see it; but was it that obvious Dex? I heard it was. What happened in the stands after the bad call?

nube one 01-22-2002 09:04 PM

That was an ill call and charles woodson was right to be vexed at the press conference. There must have been no bottles on sale at the stadium, even though it was in foxboro. It was so obvious- I didn't see the actual play, but I saw the first replay and it was a no-brainer. If that happened at heinz field it would have been cleveland to the 10th power.

Finally

MY PICK IS:

New England vs. St. Louis

Winner TBA

Bruh, OBVIOUS wasn't the word BLATANT was! Brady cocked his right arm back to throw the ball to a receiver, then changed his mind, brought the ball down and gripped it with his left hand. Charles Woodson came on a corner blitz and knocked the ball out of his hands as soon as he pulled it down. The ref signaled fumble and it was over. Then the replay ref buzzed him to check the play and they overturned the call, which led to NE tying the game and winning in sudden death. They say the rule clearly states that if a quaterback brings his arm back to throw the ball, changes his mind and doesn't tuck the ball, then it is an incomplete pass. Now every quaterback is gonna know that all they have to do is move their arm forward and hold the ball out there and drop it if they are going to get sacked, it will be an incomplete pass.
