Greekchat chat function
 

Does anyone ever use the chat function?

The primary users of the GreekChat chat are Greek nationals. Have fun dealing with them. :rolleyes:

Why do they use THIS greekchat?

maybe they don't understand the difference

...or don't want pay attention to the difference.

In any case, be prepared to be cussed at in Greek.

I SO AGREE!! When Alpha Gamma Delta sisters try to chat with each other, it never fails that a Greek shipping captain:p or other jerks who's names themselves would be considered derogitory, keep interrupting and asking us very crude questions or make crude remarks.

I know that GREEKchat is supposed to be an open forum. I can understand why someone would want to log on to check out the Greek Fraternity and Sorority organizations. But if these "Greek captains" etc., are truly Greek nationals from the Country of Greece, I'd think that they'd get the message when they saw the Home Page that it isn't a forum for homeboys and girls. Also, I'd be surprised if some of these twerps were actually from Greece..since they are typing in English and not using the "official" Greek alphabet. I wonder how many are actually from South Georgia(....just joking, Nina and Brandon, lol!!) or some other non-Greece location.

I am very proud of Alpha Gamma Delta's GreekLaw Girl!! Who can tell these "Greek captains" what she thinks in a language supposedly they understand!!

Yes , I agree, The Chat function although if you do hop on there , there are occasionaly some GCer's on there. But like everyone stated there are a lot of Greek Nationals on there, and yes some of them are umm yes rather crude.
I think they just have gooten used to the site or that function of the site and are just content in there ways.
Well maybe if more GCer's where on there, maybe we can just ignore the crude ones ?

I remember that we tried once successfully to take over. It was just a matter of coordination and then quite a few of us actually had some fun chatting.
The important thing is to set some time and date and then BE THERE. It works.

I find that the majority of the time, if I explain to them who's in the room, they'll leave on their own. But once in a while, there are a few people who have forced me to...ahem...engage in behavior unbecoming of an Alpha Gamma Delta. :eek:

Ive been in there having fun for the last few minutes

So if someone wants to pick a date and time that we can all meet in there we then can take back our chat!!! :D

Ive found that SPAM does wonders when it comes to clearing the room!!! hehhee;)
