need some advice !! really do !
So I am a transfer sophomore who didnt rush frosh year becasue I knew I was transfering. I came to my new school and got in to 3 top tier frats in the fall. When it was time to choose I had no idea who to take the bid from. It came down to flipping a coin.
I picked a frat that friday and dropped that monday because I just wasn`t sure still of what frat I wanted. I texted the vice president and president of the other top tier saying how I made a mistake so they extended there bid to me but unfortuatnatly only 3 bros wanted me to come in the spring to show im serious but they all still like me. So i dropped and a couple weeks later my roommate joined a new frat that was just getting started. He said come check it out and I did and gave it a chance for a month. I also dropped because it started with 80 kids randomly and felt like theose were the kids who didnt get bids and this new chapter had 80 kids, too much to start.( honestly dumb af ) Now it is the spring time and I am going to rush again. I am confident that the top tier I want again and got into that they are going to give me a bid again. But I am also going to rush other fraternities just in case they don`t. Do you think i got a good chance especially getting 3 bids from 2 top tier and 1 mid tier? Do u think I should text some of the bros in that fraternity I got a bid to and ask to come to some of their parties before rush so can get myself out there so they know i`m very interested again and show I made a mistake, I think this is called informal rush. I feel like i got to show them why they gave me a bid in the first place, to receivea bid a second time. I like these guys and want to be a part of them already ! Plus im a sophomore now and I feel this is my last chance to be in greeklife. I should of picked the other top tier and been regretting ever since, how diff shit would be. |

Consider that GCers really, really cut you some slack in those replies and be thankful. Take the gift and read what they said. Don't make us tell you what pledging and dropping THREE different fraternities really looks like. Personally, I am amazed that any organization would even give you a glass of water. Lucky for you that fraternities are more forgiving of that kind of behavior than sororities. |

OP just sounds like a bratty, immature boy that doesn't know what he wants. I don't know how many times I read 'Top Tier' in that post. If you do get a bid, for whatever reason, I hope you learn a lesson and understand that being a fraternity man is about brotherhood and becoming and better person and NOT about being in a top tier house that rages the hardest and has swaps and date parties with the most popular sororities. Perhaps going through a pledging period will get your head out of your butt. /rant |
lol I was just trying to get more replies and more opinions, chill out patti
