I consider the ability to find egg donors and sperm donors to be dumb. Really dumb. The only exception is if there are health risks that require finding the donors. Other than that, as though donating eggs and sperm was not complex enough, now donors can be found? That sounds miserable. Just as miserable as that dumb "Delivery Man" movie.

I want MTV to get back to the "M" -- this seems so stupid.

Is there something donors can do to prevent this? Pardon me if that question ignores the obvious.

I'm not sure if there is a nationwide cross registry or if you get the equivalent of a social security number for your sperm, but if not, you probably should. You never know whose path you're going to cross. This being said, you should just be able to say (if you hook up with someone else who was conceived the same way) "my dad was sperm #45263633", compare and contrast, and leave it at that.
