Major League Baseball Greek Letters
Does anyone know where to get custom greek shirts with MLB team letters? I see NFL ones a lot, but I would love MLB. Thanks!

I know what a lot of my sisters have told me that you can buy fabrics at Joann's for example and get sport fabric there and they can make you letters at the greek apparel stores
|
You can order online from JoAnn Fabric. Check with your Greek store, some will accept outside fabrics and some won't, some will charge a service charge if they have to cut out the letters for you.

Hancock's had MLB small logo cotton fabric a long time ago (thinking 5+ years) but I haven't seen any at either Hancock's or JoAnn's recently. I don't recall any NHL or NBA prints ever.
Here in the DC area, I have seen both Ravens and Redskins (NFL) in both cordoroy and cotton with small logos and in polarfleece with larger designs. I have never seen University of Maryland fabric but have seen a bit of UVa and a ton of VaTech motifs. |
Can't help with the Greek Letters, but here is a shop that has a ton of MLB fabric. If you can't find it here, you probably will not find it.

I wanted to make a quilt for a friend but was told by other quilters that the only MLB fabric available is fleece. Seriously. I searched and researched (and posted on quilting boards) and if there is "old"MLB cotton fabric for sale, it commands a pretty price. Something to do with licensing...?
Here: "Major League Baseball has revoked the license to produce 100% cotton prints, but they still allow the production of fleece." |

Granted, I've frozen my butt off in the summer at Dodgers & Giants games, and sat in the falling snow for a Mets opener. But, I've worked hundreds of Atlanta Braves games where the games started close to 100 degrees, cooling down at night to the low 90s degrees. And, well, you want cotton, not fleece. Actually, I think I know the reason MLB discontinued cotton -- because with the consistency of cotton, you can make unflattering items out of the material. (I'll let your imagination go wild here.) With fleece, you're limited: blankets, jackets, scarves, etc. |
