family names helpppp
 

Me and my little branched off from our family this year and we need a new family name. Keep in mind we are not girly girls so we don't want something like "The butterflies" or something like that. The family names that already exist in our are (just for reference about the kinds of names our chapter has): A-List Fam, Silent but Deadly, Class Acts, Task Force, Born to Rule, Sweetheart Fam, Hot Mess Fam, Bomb *** Fam (my old family), Pretty Little Lyres, Tres Beaches, and Wicked Pissa Weird. We need something goooooood PLEASE HELP WE'VE BEEN BRAINSTORMING FOR LIKE 9 HOURS

You didn't have to create an entirely new thread. You could have just bumped the other one you started.

I suggest you come up with your own name. Do you really want your family name to be the idea of a random stranger on the internet? It should be personalized (even though I've never heard of people branching off from their family tree...)

Btw, are you in the Boston area/New England? I only ask because of the Wicked Pissah family name :)

You should think about different things you feel like you identify with. For ex, think of Movies, TV shows, books, songs, inside jokes, memories, phrases, and other things you can identify with.

Random things I thought of: Bombshell (movie), Femme Fatale (type of character in a movie), Some Like It Hot (movie), Funny Face (movie), Golden Girls (TV show), Uptown Girls (song), Brown Eyed Girls (song), Classy n' Sassy (phrase), Pearls of Wisdom (phrase, AXO symbolism), Lyre's Club (Liar's Club used to be a game show, AXO symbolism), Lyre's Dice (Liar's Dice is a game I played too much of while in college lol, AXO symbolism)


You really have to choose something that resonates with you. My family name was Dirty Dancers, and since it was inspired by Dirty Dancing one of our family traditions was to watch the movie together as a family.

Unfortunately don't have any suggestions for you (robinseggblue did a good job!) but I have to say Pretty Little Lyres is an awesome name.
