Well, this has been my comedic entertainment for the day. LOL

It's actually not that funny. We've had similar posts about people who wanted to be members of BGLOs who were concerned about the performance aspect, whether it is skill or anxiety. On the outside, one really would presume that you need to know how to sing and dance to be a member of a black fraternity or sorority and that can be a huge stressor.

To the original poster, two things:

1) Focus on getting in.

2) If you get in, know that stepping is easier than dancing. As someone who can step but can't dance, take my word for it.

Well, I can't do either - dance or step. :o

When it came to stepping with my chapter, and I ~had~ to (read "forced") participate in the show, I opted to be the tail, where you can dance any kind of way you want, or I would change out the props.

I too, understand the anxiety about this.

This isn't a rare anxiety. It is nothing to let scare you away from being an aspirant and, if you become a member, being an active member.

Some of my line sisters cannot dance or step. :p Love them regardless. We had some jokes when we were younger, though.

My apologies for not knowing that this was a serious question. I think it was more the single word "forreal" that got me than the question itself. So I guess the poster in question is forreal.

Alright, I didn't know if this was serious or not. Good luck to you in your search for your new sisterhood!
