How common is it for fraternities to have an informal rush in the spring? What should I expect as a transfer student?

Meet the guys. Hang out. See if you fit in. If they like you, and you express an interest, they'll give you a bid. It's nothing like the craziness the ladies have to endure. Transfer status isn't usually an issue, unless you're 25 or so.
