Hazing with a loaded gun in Oklahoma (OSU)

Hazing with a loaded gun, allegedly. Oh lord, this is seriously terrible (if true).
ALpha Gamma Rho and OSU have suspended or expelled the alleged perpetrator.

The following says that the alleged perpetrator had been secretary of the IFC at OSU. (I'm not sure exactly when.):

Wow, that's terrible.

I cannot believe this happened in August and it is just now making the news. This is unbelievably stupid, dangerous... Words fail.

Yea, making the chapter undergo the same anti hazing training the perpetrator attended will surely take care of the issue. Hope his sorry ass is convicted of the two felonies he's facing. AGR is lucky only to be on partial probation. If some fucktoid active pointed a gun at my greek son during his new member period, and asked him if he was willing to "take a bullet for his brothers" that boy would have more than the Payne County justice system to worry about.

That's kind of psycho.

According to an officer's affidavit filed in the case, the victim said there were also two seniors sitting next to the back doors with the defendant sitting on the front seat console facing backwards. The upper classmen were yelling at them about what it means to be an AGR. I'm guessing AGR is going to do some housecleaning. Otherwise, I don't see how AGR is still at OSU.

I'm also wondering whether there will be charges for those other two seniors who obviously participated in the hazing.

I could provide a link to the court's website where all of the

I could provide a link to the court's website where you can read all of the court filings in this case. If you know about Oklahoma's legal system, you can find it with ease. I won't do that because of something I really can't stand about the Payne County DA. They insist on printing the date of birth and social security number of the Defendant on all criminal filings which are available for free to the public on the internet. Obviously, not a good thing in a world where you're theoretically innocent until proven guilty.

I've heard some crazy stories, but a loaded gun?

That's just scary....

Alpha O 10-03-2013 12:48 AM

The fact that this happened is disturbing beyond words, but what is even more disturbing is the fact that this happened in August and it seems to me as if this was pursued only recently.

I hope that there is a just resolution to this, and that the men who are part of this chapter can learn some valuable life lessons from this situation. I can hardly believe that this happened in the first place. It is repugnant!

What I'm wondering is--how in the world is this chapter only on partial probation?

Wynter 10-07-2013 08:25 PM

That is absolutely terrifying.
